We treat Patellofemoral Syndrome, which is a fancier medical term to describe an anterior knee pain syndrome that is the most common knee pain complaint. It is usually related to athletic overuse, however all age groups are affected. PFS pain is aggravated by driving, prolonged sitting, and climbing stairs, which are all flexed-knee activities. Our treatment programs are usually non-surgical and involve physical therapy or home exercise programs, bracing, anti-inflammatory compounds, and activity modification. Imaging may need to be ordered to further evaluate other possible causes of pain.
