Knee pain is an increasingly common complaint and is shared by all age groups. Knee pain may or may not be the result of an injury. Knee pain is common in females, those suffering from arthritis, overweight individuals, and those participating in pivoting sports (dance, soccer, tennis, basketball). Depending on the type of knee pain you have, your treatment approach will differ. All treatment plans include an evaluation of your biomechanics and hip-knee-ankle alignment by us and it is sometimes valuable to have a video gait analysis performed by a physical therapist to better diagnose biomechanics that may be contributing to your problem. Fortunately the majority of knee pain can be managed non-operatively and can include physical therapy, bracing, anti-inflammatory medications/supplements or injections. We can perform steroid injections or viscosupplementation injections. Various procedures are available as indicated on our Treatments page.
